Independent thinking and enquiry into key scientific concepts
The primary aim of Radio HCC is to broadcast weekly announcements and news from around the college. These broadcasts are also a platform to celebrate the achievements of the students and staff at HCC. Tutor groups can tune in every Wednesday from 8.25am to listen to music and catch the news headlines at 8.45am. Listeners can also enjoy music and discussion every break and lunch time.
At the moment the station is operating on a 2 week schedule to produce a radio show that will be broadcast at the end of the second week. A student producer is chosen fortnightly to lead a team of broadcast assistants who will research news items, record performances, interview guests, script write and deliver other content for their show. Honiton residents can tune in on 87.7FM to listen in or hear the show as a podcast on the college website.
If you have any exciting content ideas for the show or would like to get involved with Radio HCC, please see Mrs Creed (Creative Arts & Media Technician)
Radio HCC are always looking for special announcements, keen performers and people & groups to interview.
