- Project Management
- Presentation Skills
- Academic Referencing and Research
Do you have an area of interest that you would love to delve deeper into while getting a qualification in the process? If the answer is Yes, EPQ is definitely for you!
What Skills will I get from Studying EPQ?
During your two year EPQ journey you will learn skills that will be invaluable for your chosen next step after HCC! Time management, academic referencing and research, presentation skills and project management are just a few of the transferable skills you will develop.
Your journey is split between taught sessions where the skills you need to learn will be the focus, and independent time where you will apply what you have learnt to your chosen project.
How is the course laid out?
The main bulk of the first year will be based around you finalising your topic area and project title, and doing the necessary research to take your understanding deeper in that area of interest. From September to December in the second year you will be busy writing up your project ready for a December hand in date. Following this between January and late February you will be honing your presentations skills and preparing for a presentation to a non-specialist audience based around your EPQ journey and what you have learnt. The final part of the journey is reflecting on the process and ensuring your completed project is ready to hand in before Easter so you can focus on revision for your other qualifications.
