I am a Mum of 5 children, 4 of whom have at some time attended, or attend the college. Two of my children are disabled, one of them is academically gifted and another has additional needs. I am passionate about providing quality education to all of the children who come to our college which is why I became a parent Governor in November 2015. My background in engineering, science and health and safety has allowed me to take a place on the resources committee where I proudly serve. After many years I know what works well at the school and I am also aware of where improvement needs to be made and after many years of being a vital part of the team (as a parent) - I wanted to make my involvement in the process a bit more official. I believe we have something very special here. When I am not at the school, or chasing around after my children, I am employed as a support worker for a local charity enabling people to live in their own homes across our community. I also volunteer two sessions a week as a Generalist Adviser for the local Citizens Advice. I live in Offwell with my husband Paul, our children and a menagerie of various pets.
‘I am currently the Vice-Chair of Governors and am on the Resources Committee’.
