I want all Honiton students to succeed and my role as governor focuses around this. With four degrees in Biology, Mathematical Neuroscience, Biomedical engineering and Physics I have previously worked in research at Exeter University, alongside my husband who remains a lecturer. Since my four children and qualifying as a teacher, I now run Southwest Science School teaching GCSE and A level Science, whilst completing a law degree in my spare time.
Education is extremely important to me. As governor I aim to act as critical friend to the College’s hard-working staff and leadership team, whilst providing a voice for parents and collaborators across our town. I actively support school fundraising, am a member of the resources committee and science link governor with special interests in STEM, SEN and careers.
