Year 9

Impact session October: drink awareness performance from the Solomon theatre company

Impact sessions February: army citizenship, career and team building day, for selected pupils

Lesson time September- October: Diversity and discrimination, focusing on gender, age, disabilities and homophobia. (4hrs)

Lesson time November – January: sex education and relationships (5hrs) including 1 hr session with school nurse and 4 hr sessions taken by trained 6th formers

Lesson time February: Online grooming (1 hr)

Lesson time February: Radicalisation and extremism (1hr)

Lesson time March: sexting and sending/receiving inappropriate online images (1hr) taken by PSCO

 

Year 10

Impact Day September: Introduction to work experience, using online careers website,   Preparing for an interviews, Personal profile, what’s my line?

Impact lesson January: healthy relationships workshop with Splitz charity

Training day July: prefects attend an anti-bullying ambassador day.

Impact session September: selected students attend a first aid training workshop with st John’s ambulance

Impact lessons X8 various: living life to the full sessions on emotional wellbeing

Impact sessions February: army citizenship, career and team building day, for selected pupils

 

Year 11

Impact Day September: Feedback on work experience, CV writing, Preparing for an interview, using online careers websites.

Impact day October: Work Experience Presentation, presentation of prepared power points to employers and prize giving.

Impact day October: Mock Interview Day, All students to prepare a CV and a written application for a job. To then have a 15min interview with a local employer under interview conditions together with dressing formally. Feedback and prize giving in the afternoon.

Impact lesson March: ‘Is this rape, sex on trial’ highlighting the importance of giving/gaining clear sexual consent

Impact sessions February: army citizenship, career and team building day, for selected pupils
